Pick Your Narrative

Pick your favorite narrative- all true as of 1/25/22.

1) Stocks plummet 7-10% to start 2022, or

2) Stocks start 2022 by giving back ~1/4 of the S&P500’s strong and above expectation gains from 2021, or

3) Stocks up ~75% over the last 3 years despite navigating a pandemic-fueled, global lockdown recession.

Just remember that the market, like most things in life, is more fragile in the short run, but much more resilient over the intermediate/long run than we give it credit for. Market volatility isn’t an illness or a sign of something broke, it’s a reflex.

This is a hypothetical situation based on real life examples. Names and circumstances have been changed. The opinions voiced in this material are for general information only and are not intended to provide specific advice or recommendations for any individual. To determine which investments or strategies may be appropriate for you, consult your advisor prior to investing.
